5e grand prix européen des premiers films

this competition, with prize money provided by our sponsors SRG SSR idée suisse, the canton of vaud and the city of vevey, is open to film-makers who graduate from a european institution. the aim of the competition is to enable young film-makers to carry out a first personal project.

this year, 128 projects from europe were received in vevey. during the meeting of the jury from may 30 to 31, three projects were chosen as winners of the 5th european first film award. they will receive 10’000.- EUR to carry out their project. the premiere will be held at the next festival images’ in september 2010.

The panel of judges had the opportunity to study each of the projects and emphasised the high professional standard of the projects submitted.
